The Speedicut Saga tells the story in 20-30 mins episodes of the life and times of Colonel Sir Jasper Speedicut, Flashman's partner in crime in Tom Brown's Schooldays, and his son Charles from 1821 to 1979. The story moves from historical event to historical event during the rise and fall of the British Empire in which Jasper and his son both play - albeit previously unknown - a major part as they stagger from bedroom to battlefield and back again.
